White Walls

He stared at the sky and felt at home for the first time in his life.  The stars were endless, obscured only by lazy wisps of clouds going by.  His eyes widened and jaw slackened with amazement.  If he had known it could be like this, maybe things would be different. Maybe he would not have…

“Mr. Anderson? I need to give you your medication now.”

He swallowed the pills and stuck his tongue out to prove he had taken them.  His notion of home must be different than most.  He was okay with that. The views were worth it.
