Sticking with the Trip Hop obsession, this mix is amazing:
Around 45:00 and 49:00, the two songs feel amazing. Granted, I was in my car listening, so maybe my sound was different but the bass felt like a heartbeat, but also like it was massaging my brain and soul. I know that sounds probably too weepy and touchy-feely, but I was on my way home from a long hike and I felt particularly one with the world, so it felt awesome.
Speaking of one with the world…
Alan Watts Chillstep mixes are where I started in my slight inclination towards Mr. Watts. You might not know I like reading and listening to him…This is a beautiful intro to his world and mind, and the music is woven so perfectly with his words, he will say something profound and then there is a pause of beautiful relaxing music to help it integrate in your brain. I cannot recommend this enough. You will feel both relaxed and smarter, even if everything he said seemed like utter rubbish, his British accent and soothing voice will give you a profound sense of elegance as you eat Taco Bell at 10:52 at night on a Thursday…(that’s oddly specific, hope it’s not a personal acco-o..how do I let them know that due to the unfreezing process I have no inner monologue…)
At least once a week, I’ve been doing a past life regression meditation, and it’s been a really fucking cool experience. Whether I’m a soul that reincarnated lifetime after lifetime, or my subconscious is jam packed with incredible archetypal symbols and metaphors to explain consciousness, karma, and dharma, it’s cool… This guy’s voice is perfect for a guided meditation. I’ve had some really cool visions/visualizations.
I love Leo. He makes songs I didn’t really like amazing. I kinda liked the Meghan Trainor version, but it got overplayed to hell and it became more like stepping on legos when I’d turn on the radio. Thank God for Spotify. Anyway, amazing cover by Leo, his videos are hilarious, and you should watch everything he’s ever made.
A7X covering Pink Floyd? 😀 😀 😀 😀 I love the callback to the guitar solo in Exist from The Stage on this.
