What am I listening to?

I haven’t written about music enough.  I’ve been all over the map lately.  Actually, one of my favorite things to do is let my kids be the Spotify DJ in the car.  To me, that’s actually the best way to get to know someone, and to peek at their emotions.  Maybe that’s wrong, maybe that’s projection, but I talk in music.  The kids are still on a massive, massive Shinedown kick.  I cannot say enough how exciting and awesome it is to see my kids light up with music.  Music is and always has been my first, best, etc. coping mechanism.  When everything falls apart, music is the glue that has always pieced me together.

Widetrack is amazing, and I love them so much.  I love this cover – Pink Floyd is one of my go to’s with EVERYTHING.

Oldie but goodie, reminds me of one of my exes and myself.  This is how love has always felt to me, and that’s a big thing to change, eh?

Chainsmokers – Paris…I guess, I am a glutton for punishment…this is another song that makes me think of my ex, because he introduced me to Chainsmokers, and I fell in love with them.

Puscifer is a default constant for me.  I’m weird, of all of Maynard’s bands, Puscifer is my favorite, and it always will be.  Carina usually sings this song, but in this mix, Maynard sings it, and it makes it even more alluring to me.  To me, this is my sexy song.  Which is again, a little odd, but I do like shaking my butt to it.  I saw Puscifer in April of last year, and it was hands down, one of the best nights of my life.  In 2016, I was 50 feet from Maynard twice.  I could write about Maynard for hours, so I’ll just stop fangirl’ing right there…

My other love, Corey.  This is my favorite Stone Sour song, I haven’t listened to it lately, but I will admit I have listened to this song along probably 10000 times (I have a habit of playing songs on repeat when I connect with them).  As usual, Corey just writes my soul, and this is how I feel when I am lost.  My other favorite is Zzyxz Rd.

Duality – Slipknot – I woke up with this stuck in my head.  I can’t remember my dreams from last night, so I’m curious where my brain was…I’m hoping it was sexy time with Corey 😛 I kid, I kid….

Oh yeah! And a little Biebs… This video is SO COOL!  The dancing…I might only like one or two Biebs songs, but I do love this one…

 

LEO!!!!!!!!  This song makes me smile NO MATTER WHAT.  I am using music to control my emotions, lately, and Leo is the default make me happy music.
